In this third part of the revision of Australian Gnathothlibus erotus-eras-species complex, the taxon Gnathothlibus erotoides Wallengrén, 1860 stat. rev. is resurrected, and diagnostically speparated from Gnathothlibus eras (Boiduv al, 183), from Tahiti, of which a neotype is designated. Also from Tahiti, Gnathothlibus collardi Haxaire, 2002 stat. rev. is revitalised. From Australia and Christmas Island, politically belonging to Australia, 10 new species are described: G. buderimensis spec. nov., G. dauanensis spec. nov., G. gloriosa spec. nov.,G. hammondensis spec. nov., G. lachlani spec. nov., G. lanei spec. nov., G. maxmouldsi spec. nov., G. pseudolanei spec. nov., G. riottei spec. nov. and G. wallengreni spec. nov. Four ‡‡ that have been dissected remain unnamed.In connection with this work Philodila astyanor (Boisduv al, [1875]) comb. rev. again is taken out of the genus Gnathothlibus Wallengrén, 1859.
