Abstract [en]

We report the lichen-forming fungi Stereocaulon arenarium and S. cyaneum from Sweden for the first time, the latter being also new to Europe; furthermore S. groenlandicum is reported from Austria, new to Central Europe. New localities for S. arcticum are reported from northern Sweden. We propose to delete S. groenlandicum from the Fennoscandian checklist as the published material seems to be misidentified. Additional information about photosynthetic partners and new sequences of S. cyaneum are included.
